Premium high street retailer Jigsaw has opened a new store in Aberdeen’s Bon Accord & St Nicholas Shopping Centre (August 1).
The 1,600sq ft corner store store features a prominent curved plywood cash desk, parquet flooring and a granite feature wall referencing the city’s heritage as ‘the granite city’, a nickname given to Aberdeen in the 1950s due to the abundance of locally quaried granite. Graphic black and white prints of iconic Jigsaw photo shoots line the walls to give the space an art gallery feel.
Jigsaw worked on the project with London-based design consultancy gpstudio. “We have created a contemporary yet elegant store by investing in good quality materials reflecting the timelessness and craftsmanship of the Jigsaw brand,” said gpstudio associate director Adam Dainow. “The integration of modern aspects with design classics has created an engaging customer environment.”
