Brazilian flip flop brand Havaianas has opened its largest branch in the UK with a 969 sq ft store at Westfield London.
The two-level store offers Havaianas flip flop range, its Swarovski crystal collection and its espadrille range. The store, which has a window display showcasing surfboards and a sculpted installation of a tropical parrot made from multi-colored Havaianas flip flops, will also stock the two 2016 designer collaborations Liberty Havaianas and Charlotte Olympia Havaianas.
The opening of the store comes after recent expansion in Europe, with new branches in Barcelona, Rome, Porto and Mallorca. The brand, founded in 1962, now has 23 owned stores across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Eno Polo, president of Havaianas parent company Alpargatas Europe, said: “The UK is an important market for Havaianas and Westfield London, as one of the UK’s number one shopping destinations with 28 million annual visitors, is the perfect fit for our consumer demographic and brand positioning. I am sure the Westfield London store will be very successful and that its striking façade and interior will enhance the shopping experience for the Westfield customer.”
