Look inside: Maiyet launches Mayfair concept store

Luxury-meets-craft brand pops up with fashion and lifestyle store.

The luxury fashion brand known for its ethical credentials and collaborative work with artisanal craftsmen has opened its first London store: a three-month pop-up shop in Mayfair.

A stone’s throw from Bond Street at 41 Conduit Street, Maiyet’s temporary 2,000 sq ft space will house everything from fashion, fragrances, art, books and furniture, alongside its autumn 16 womenswear and accessories collections and Maiyet-approved flowers and food.

The store is designed by Cavendish Studios as a quirky-yet-stylish mix of “high” and “low” materials, fixtures and fittings, creating an eclectic, curated feel in the brand’s signature luxury-meets-craft style. This includes sculptural display stands created by artisans using Cornish clay, as well as a stunning mirrored circle-shaped changing area.

Brands sold within the store include Yosuzi hats, Phaidon books, Tom Dixon lighting, and fragrances and flowers from The TukTuk Flower Studio. Cook and food writer Jasmine Hemsley has also launched East by West, her first pop-up cafe, within the space.
