Spring 10

The workwear appeal and chino-complementing qualities of the soft cotton chambray shirt will all help it to re-enter men’s wardrobes in spring 10. Its heritage roots makes this a trend that will straddle contemporary and streetwear looks for men and women. Everyone from the denim heavyweights, youth labels and contemporary Japanese and Scandinavian brands all included Chambray as an option on shirts, jackets and jeans. For women chambray is already developing into more sophisticated shapes, with harem pants, pinafore dresses and dungarees moulding this versatile and lightweight fabric into new silhouettes.
