Christian Dior

The look:
Inspired by Arabian princesses, John Galliano sat light-as-air chiffons in soft powdery shades next to billowing metallic all-in-ones and intricately brocaded bell shape tops in a collection straight out of Aladdin’s Cave. Keeping the presentation grounded were fur trimmed skirt suits in rich shades of scarlet and mauve, and embroidered, full skirted coats with asymmetric buttons snaking up the side of the body.

Key pieces:
An air of romance came through the use of fluttering chiffons, which were either layered and swept around the knees and fastened with silver bauble belts, or edged in silver coins and gathered into soft jumpsuits.
