Luxury footwear designer Christian Louboutin is to launch a European version of its online boutique today.
The designer already has existing ecommerce sites in the US and Canada and the European site will launch with Louboutin’s spring 12 collections as well as the designer’s recently launched 20th anniversary capsule collection.
According to reports, the site will allow consumers to either navigate straight through to the online store by using a fast track button or, alternatively, explore the history of the Louboutin brand through the designer’s corporate site.
The navigation on the site allows customers to shop for footwear by colour, size or heel height and enables them to zoom in on each of the designs and view them in a 360 degree format.
There are also plans for a live chat facility on the site which will allow customers to talk to representatives from Louboutin about their purchases and the site will offer either French or English language options.
A mobile optimised version of the site with an app is expected to follow later this year and the US and Canada site will relaunch in the same format as the European site.
