Christopher Bailey, Creative director, Burberry

At the end of November, Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey picked up the prestigious British Fashion Award for Menswear Designer of the Year.

Bailey’s design skills extend across all of Burberry’s ranges, from the brand’s flagship men’s and women’s wear collections Burberry Prorsum and Burberry London through to kidswear and licensed products.

He has continued to drive the design content of the Burberry London collection, which has come to closely reflect Prorsum but with a more commercially led price architecture. The new retail concept, exemplified by the reopened store in London’s Knightsbridge, was masterminded by Bailey, who also oversaw all of its advertising and marketing.
