Clothing heads promoted at Debenhams

Debenhams has made a raft of internal promotions within its buying and merchandising teams.

Pam Bartley, who was previously director of buying for womenswear, has been promoted to divisional trading director for accessories.

Former divisional director for childrenswear Susie Calvert has been appointed divisional trading director for women’s casualwear.

Dawn Reynolds, previously head of buying for womenswear, has been promoted to buying director for women’s formalwear.

Adam Rose, who held the role of director of merchandising for menswear, has been appointed divisional trading director for childrenswear.

Former director of merchandising for health and beauty Sara Stern has been promoted to divisional trading director for health and beauty and lingerie.

The reshuffle follows the appointment of Suzanne Harlow as group trading director in November 2008. She was previously trading director for womenswear, lingerie, accessories and health and beauty. All involved will report to Harlow.

A spokesman for Debenhams said the promotions illustrated strong commitment to these areas and that it rewarded hard work in terms of promoting from within.
