Cocosa reports strong year-on-year growth

Private sales etailer Cocosa has reported growth of 30% for the year to the end of January 2013.

The week commencing January 21, 2013 was its strongest ever from a revenue perspective, up 44% on the forecast.

Cocosa owner Mohamed Al Fayed said: “I am delighted with the improving sales performance at Cocosa and as we progress the development of the Cocosa brand.”

“I look forward to further growth in what is a very challenging consumer market. Cocosa is a brand with great potential.”

Cocosa was launched by Bauer Media in 2008 and was acquired by Mohamed Al Fayed in July 2011.

Brands sold on the site include Vivienne Westwood Anglomania, Bulgari and LuLu Guinness.

In January Cocosa chief executive David Llamas left the business after just 10 months in the role.
