Paris Couture: Versace

Versace Atelier kicked off proceedings at Paris Couture on Sunday night as Donatella Versace returned to the Ritz in Paris 15 years on from the death of her brother Gianni.

The candy coloured collection showcased a range of dresses from billowing silk gowns slit to the upper thigh to heavily embellished minidresses in aqua, lilac, powder pink and lemon shades. The flesh-baring outfits Versace is known for were given a fresh twist with the designer fusing a variety of fabrics with combinations including silk and plastic. The collection was inspired by images on Tarot cards with elements including leather belts with lettering and laser-cut leather in crescent moon shapes.
