Dave Snowdon, Managing director, AMG Footwear

It’s been another year, another dollar for footwear brand Ugg.

Despite the annual fear on the part of buyers that this could have been the autumn when the sheepskin boot trend died, the brand has surpassed expectations to become a basic of every woman’s wardrobe.

For some retailers Ugg has once again rescued their autumn season in sales terms, thanks to its top-end ticket price.

The man behind the UK success of Ugg is Dave Snowdon, managing director of Ugg’s UK distributor AMG Footwear. Ugg has 220 stockists across the UK, and AMG Footwear’s expansion strategy has been rapid, with eight Ugg branded shop-in-shops opened over the past year in stores such as Harrods, and Cruise in Belfast and Glasgow.
