Debenhams promotes Ross Clemmow to ecommerce director

Debenhams has promoted its divisional trading director of ecommerce Ross Clemmow to ecommerce director, effective immediately.

Clemmow, who also joins the executive committee, has been at the department store business since last July, when he joined from Argos to fill the gap left by Simon Forster.

Since then he has overseen a number of changes, including a site migration and an increase in emphasis on multi-channel.

Chief executive Michael Sharp said: “Ross has made an excellent contribution to our online offer since joining Debenhams last summer. Online retail sales are increasingly important to Debenhams and in his new role, Ross will continue to develop our digital proposition and help support our strategy of becoming a leading international, multi-channel brand.”
