Debenhams set to sign Henry Holland

Debenhams is in talks to sign up London Fashion Week designer Henry Holland to join its Designers at Debenhams roster.

According to reports, Holland is in talks to join the likes of Julien Macdonald, John Rocha and Betty Jackson in the department store.

  • Interesting tie-up this one and will be a great coup for Debenhams if they can pull it off. Just think of the PR, without even the fact that Henry designs accessible affordable pieces. How will it impact his catwalk range though? It already isn't toppy on price.

I think this could be great for Debenhams but not so great for Mr H.
Aesthetics are everything in this industry and although a deal with Debenhams could make a good impression on his bank manager; what will it do to his brand's image?
