Designer Christopher Kane has launched its first ecommerce site – 10 years after the eponymous label was set up.
Created in partnership with Farfetch Black & White, the etailer’s white-label offshoot, christopherkane.com enables consumers to shop its menswear and womenswear collections, as well as find out more about the brand. The site offers global shipping and multiple currencies, and will open up multi-lingual sites in the future.
The launch of the site follows the opening of Christopher Kane’s flagship store on Mount Street in central London in February 2015.
To coincide with the launch, from July 8 a limited edition Christopher Kane product will launch on the first Friday of every other month and will be available for a short period or until they sell out.
Christopher Kane chief executive Sarah Crook, said: “We want the ecommerce site to offer customers a fully integrated Christopher Kane experience that gives them both a brand experience and the opportunity to shop across all product classifications. While wholesale remains a key driver for growth, the launch of ecommerce and physical retail stores is key in furthering a fully branded experience to a global audience.”
