Drapers calls retailers for market survey report

Drapers will launch its first ever Market Report, a comprehensive survey of fashion retailers that will help shape the magazine’s future content, at the end of March.

The UK’s fashion business bible is now carrying out the survey and looking for retailers to respond.

If you run a fashion retail business, Drapers would appreciate you taking the time to answer the questions on the link below and tell us a bit more about yourself.

All answers are in total confidence, and by taking part and providing your contact details, you will be entered into a draw to win an iPad 2.

The closing date for completed surveys is 2nd March 2012.

  • Why is the survey resticted to "fashion retailers"? - many Drapers' readers are not retailers - are their opinions as to the "shape of the magazine's future content" not to be taken into consideration?

  • Hi Glynn thank you for your comment - the answer is absolutely not. The readership of Drapers embraces all facets of the industry and we will be running a series of special reports and surveys over the coming year to reflect all of those. The first one happens to be about retail, as per the above story, and future surveys will cover suppliers, brands, design, and product areas and a number of other topics. So diverse is the sector that if we were to do them all at once in the depth we want to we would have to ask hundreds of questions which would likely lead to a very low response rate. Incidentally, I am very keen to hear your thoughts on Drapers at any time, not just through a survey, so feel free to drop me a line at caroline.nodder@emap.com at any point.

  • Good Morning Ms. Nodder - Thank you for your comments from which I would conclude that, after you have conducted your Market Report as to fashion retailers, you will carry out similar excercises/surveys as to the other readers of your magazine, thereby enabaling all your readers to help you shape the magazine’s future content.
