Dress2kill guns for wholesale market with ready-to-wear line

Bespoke tailor Dress2kill has made its first foray into wholesale with an o­ff -the-peg tweed range.

Called Tweedies, the short-order collection of tweed jackets and gilets features three styles each formen and women. Wholesale prices range from £199 to £275.

Dress2kill chief executive James Hibbert said: “We noticed a lot of people buying made-to-measure tweed jackets and saw an opportunity for

off­ -the-peg tweed.”

Hibbert said he would target about 20 indies as well as department stores. Tweedies will also be sold via

Made in Mumbai, India, using British cloth, the range is available from April.

The business recorded sales of £2.15m in the year to the end of February 2014, with net profits of £180,000. Hibbert expects turnover to hit £2.8m and proit of £250,000 to £300,000 in the year ahead.

Dress2kill has a store on The Cut, near London Waterloo station, and one in the City.
