Swimwear brand South Beach is to launch a standalone transactional website off the back of a successful wholesale launch for spring 13.
The label, which debuted at tradeshow Moda in February, secured around 20 stockists for its first season including etailers Asos and Figleaves as well as New Look online.
The brand will launch with its wholesale stockists in January, with the transactional website going live at the beginning of February.
South Beach director Jonathan Crewe said he hoped this would support greater overseas distribution, as the site will offer worldwide shipping, rather than competing with UK wholesale accounts.
South Beach plans to exhibit at Moda again in February, where it will show both the 25-piece spring 13 collection for in-stock orders, and a 25-piece Cruise collection for delivery later in the year.
For spring 14, Crewe is planning to increase the size of its collection to include beachwear accessories and loungewear.
Wholesale prices for South Beach range from £6.50 - £12.
