Fashion East, the non-profit initiative that supports London’s up-and-coming designers, has announced the designers it has selected to show at its autumn 13 show during London Fashion Week.
Designer Ashley Williams will join Ryan Lo and Claire Barrow, who both debuted with Fashion East last season.
Fashion East has received headline sponsorship from Topshop since 2003 and the womenswear retailer will again support the initiative for the autumn 13 season.
Topshop managing director Mary Homer said: “The coming season marks Topshop’s tenth anniversary of supporting Fashion East, one of the most inspiring platforms for emerging talent.
“We’re incredibly proud to be part of the scheme, and I wish this season’s designers the best of luck.”
Fashion East has been credited with kick-starting the careers of some of the UK‟s most prolific design talent including: Gareth Pugh, Richard Nicoll, House of Holland, Roksanda Ilincic, Jonathan Saunders, Louise Gray, Marios Schwab and Meadham Kirchhoff.
Directed by Lulu Kennedy, designers are selected by a panel of leading industry figures including Brix Smith-Start and Charlie Harrington, fashion director at Stella Magazine.
