Fast Fashion London, the tradeshow dedicated to fast fashion sourcing, has unveiled renowned fashion journalist Hilary Alexander as the ambassador of its inaugural Young Designer Competition.
The Young Designer Competition offers five aspiring designers the chance to exhibit their graduate collections at the Fast Fashion London exhibition which takes place at London’s Olympia on October 23-24.
Alexander will sit on the judging panel for the competition, selecting and shortlisting the five finalists along with several other judges from the fashion retail sector.
“Fashion graduates are one of our most valuable talents and we must acknowledge and support young designers in these times,” said Alexander.
“I’m delighted to be presiding over the judging panel for the Young Designer Competition and am looking forward to seeing the entries.”
One overall winner from the shortlist of five will then be chosen and unveiled on the closing day of Fast Fashion London on October 24.
Fast Fashion London showcases a range of exhibitors from the entire textile supply chain and targets high street chains and other main fashion retailers as visitors.
The aim of the event is to provide UK fashion retailers with an introduction to Euro-Mediterranean suppliers.
