Gallery reports record visitor numbers

Copenhagen trade show Gallery saw a record number of visitors for its spring 13 edition with visitor numbers increasing 10% compared to this time last year.

Gallery, which ran from July 9-11, attracted a record 12,405 visitors, a 10% increase on August last year and a 5% rise compared to gallery’s February show earlier this year.

More than 2,700 brands exhibited at the four competing Copenhagen trade shows, Vision, Ciff, CPH Kids and Gallery, with more than 40,000 people visiting the fairs from Thursday to Saturday last week.

Christian Gregersen, chief executive officer of Gallery said: “The most important thing is not the number of exhibiting brands, but the increasing number of high calibre, Scandinavian and international fashion buyers that have visited Gallery this year.”

Among the buyers at Gallery were Liberty, Harvey Nichols, Zalando, Selfridges, Browns, Asos, Net-A-Porter, Urban Outfitters, Mr. Porter, Matches.com and Mywardrobe.com. More than a fifth (22%) of buyers were from Europe.
