Gant promotes Tracy Stone to global role

Swedish lifestyle brand Gant has promoted UK and Ireland managing director Tracy Stone to the newly–created role of global sales director.

Taking over on September 1, Stone will oversee the company’s international subsidiaries and be responsible for the development and expansion of the brand’s market presence. She will also manage its global ecommerce business.

Gant has already kicked off the recruitment process for a new managing director.

Stone joined the brand from House of Fraser, where she worked in the beauty division, in 2007.

Gant global chief executive Dirk-Jan Stoppelenburg said: “Since her appointment, Tracy has achieved outstanding growth in the UK, making it our second largest market globally.”

Stone added: “I am delighted to have been given this opportunity to contribute to the future of the Gant brand worldwide and to deliver on the obvious growth potential.”

Earlier this month Gant also promoted head of design Christopher Bastin to creative director after Bob Andrews, the brand’s existing creative director, stepped down.
