Gap’s international sales for January beat US

International sales, which include the UK, at US casualwear group Gap were flat in January.

This was compared with a 5% fall in January 2008.

The international sales contrasted with domestic performance, which saw the group’s US sales fall 23% on a like-for-like basis in January. Total sales fell 13% to US$4.08 billion (£2.79bn).
