Gaspard Yurkievich

Key looks
On jackets, shirts and knits round collars borrowed from 1960s styles recalled Dior’s classic womenswear with a touch of The Beatles thrown in

Inspiration
A combination of retro appeal with a futuristic aesthetic meant that Yurkievich summoned up a “new look” for menswear tailoring

Silhouettes
Cropped jackets and slim trousers recalled the 1960s while casualwear veered from the structured to the fluid

Fabrics
Fine cottons on languid T-shirts, crumpled treatments on checked shell tops while shiny tailoring appeared yet again

Colours
Black white and dove grey were the key shades with contrast waistbands, collars, cuffs and plackets used throughout. Teal and apricot offered rare drops of colour.
