The look:

Eclectic to the end, Deacon loves to cram as many influences, styles and tongue in cheek references as possible into his collections, and autumn 09 was no different. Pieces which appeared to be ultra feminine in terms of fabric or cut were hardened up with spikes or multitudinous safety pins, and the use of rubber suggested a subversive undercurrent.

Key pieces:

Polished cone-shaped skirts and silver panelled tops indicated a futuristic canteen theme when teamed with a fork and spoon necklace, 1960s dress silhouettes and bright prints were rendered in a gothic shiny rubber, and a plisse chiffon creation which looked red carpet bound was, on closer inspection, covered in tiny grey spikes.
