The look:
Having lit the fuse on the trend for oil slick leggings and goth-rock glamour, Givenchy evolved its young party girl look with an older customer in mind. Strong shouldered structured skirt suits in wool, an attention to outerwear and an obsession with draping underlined the brand’s intention to distance itself from high street copycats and to communicate with a more moneyed target customer.

Key pieces:
Veering from its signature black palette only to take in grey, cream, white and midnight blue, Givenchy nodded to the big shoulders trend through tailored skirt suits, cropped leather biker jackets and delicate lace dresses with dropped waist puffball skirts. Studded dresses were draped at the neckline while bandage-wrapped tops were draped through the body.
