Helmut Lang to open first UK standalone store

Premium label Helmut Lang will open its first standalone store in the UK on September 1.

The brand will open the 800sq ft store in London on Notting Hill’s Westbourne Grove with the designer’s autumn 11 collection.

The store will feature a backdrop of natural materials said to offset the minimal designs of the clothing.

Austrian-born Lang launched his label in 1986 and it is stocked online in the UK via etailers My Wardrobe and Net-A-Porter. The Helmut Lang label was bought from Prada in 2006 and Nicole and Michael Colovos, have been Creative Directors of the brand since.
