Highline United names chief exec

Footwear distributor and licensee Highline United has appointed former Jones Group president Rick Paterno to the newly created role of president and chief executive.

Paterno, who left his position with Kurt Geiger parent company Jones Group in June, joins Highline United on January 28 and will oversee all of the brands in the company’s portfolio, including Ash, French Connection footwear, Luxury Rebel and Julian Hakes.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to play a leadership role with Highline United,” said Paterno.

“It is a growing, dynamic company with great people and an amazing portfolio of brands.”

In November, Drapers reported that Highline United was to open its first dedicated UK showroom in Camden this month.

Daniela D’Aveni, former UK sales director at Sixty Group, was appointed to the new role of UK sales director as a result of the expansion.
