Hobbs appoints ex-Principles retail director

Hobbs has appointed Alana Mazza as retail director. Mazza was previously retail trading director at Principles.

Mazza will oversee Hobbs’ 125 stores nationwide and be responsible for delivering Hobbs retail growth strategy, including a new flagship store in Covent Garden which is due to launch this autumn.

Hobbs said Mazza’s appointment would allow Mike Spearing, the previous retail director, to focus on his new role as business development director at the womenswear chain.

However Spearing will continue to oversee Hobbs’ direct sales channels, both online and by telephone.

Hobbs is also due to launch its new contemporary sub brand NW3, named after the location of its first store in Hampstead Heath, London, this autumn.
