Ash plans to open a third store

Premium footwear brand Ash is planning to make its website transactional and open a third UK store.

The Italian company, which already has two London stores in Chelsea and Marylebone, has yet to set dates for the launches.

Angie Wells, sales manager at Ash, said ecommerce is a function that consumers expect from a brand. “We know Ash is performing well online on other [stockist’s] sites,” she added.

Ash has also introduced a 12-strong kids collection for spring 11, which will wholesale from £24 to £29.20. Retail prices will range from £55 to £67. The collection has so far been sold into 32 stockists, including department stores such as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and John Lewis.

Wells said: “Kids footwear was a natural progression for us. We wanted to offer customers more of a brand feeling, so we now offer bags and accessories [as well as footwear].”
