Board bolstered to up BFA’s appeal

The British Footwear Association (BFA) has appointed three new members to its executive board in a bid to broaden its industry expertise.

Richard Kottler, the chief executive of the association, which has its foundations in footwear manufacturing, has expanded its pool of expertise on the board by appointing a mix of retailers and importers.

Clarks International head of sales for UK and Republic of Ireland Adam Marsden; Dr Martens owner R Griggs group HR director Paul Humphrey; and Michael Kelly, chief executive and joint chairman of Sutton Group, owner of footwear chain Wynsors World of Shoes, have all joined the board.

Kottler said: “It is important to have a board truly representative of the industry.”
