Clarks boosts board with new non-exec

Footwear retailer Clarks has bolstered its board with the appointment of Stella David as non-executive director.

David is chief executive officer of Scottish distiller William Grant and Sons and previously served as a non-executive director of Nationwide Building Society for seven years.

She joins the seven strong board backed by chairman Peter Davies and also including chief executive officer Melissa Potter and group finance director Robin Beacham.

Davies said: “Stella brings with her a wealth of experience in building and marketing brands in an international environment, which will be a valuable asset for Clarks as we continue to develop our successful global brand strategy.

“I look forward to welcoming Stella to her first board meeting in March, and introducing her to all aspects of the Clarks business over the next few months.”
