Daniel Footwear acquires Rojo Shoes

Footwear mini chain Daniel Footwear has acquired footwear retailer Rojo Shoes, using £700,000 in funding from Barclays Corporate.

Rojo Shoes, which was established in 1996, has three stores in Hertfordshire, London and Belfast. Its new owner, Daniel Footwear, started as one store in Leeds in 1993 and now runs 25 stores in the UK.

Daniel Footwear director Daniel Buck said: “Barclays Corporate has been very supportive of our latest acquisition and plays an integral part in our plans for future growth. With the new financial structure in place we intend to be pro-active in taking advantage of the opportunities the current climate presents and I’m delighted that we have completed the acquisition so quickly.”
