Etailer Sarenza taps into UK market

French footwear etailer Sarenza has launched a UK version its site.

Sarenza.co.uk, stocks 200 brands including Nine West, Patrick Cox and Ugg for men, women and kids. It also offers bags and accessories.

The etailer, which was founded in 2005, joins UK online footwear retailers such as Cloggs.co.uk and Shoes.co.uk.

To celebrate the launch of Sarenza.co.uk, the etailer will host the Sarenza High Heel Race at the Truman Brewery car park in London on October 9. At the London heat, competitors will wear Sarenza heels and race along a bespoke 15m pink Sarenza track. The four fastest competitors will select two friends to join them to make a team of three for the final in Paris in November, where they will compete to win £2,500 worth of shoes from Sarenza.

Sarenza, which had a turnover of £33.5m in 2009, claims to sell thousands of products a day.
