I am a one man band and previously hold my photoshoots all before the season starts -

but If I do short orders/inseason buying, I will need to get everything I buy photographed and uploaded more frequently – Do you think I am putting myself under too much pressure for a web based company?

It sounds like a good plan to work with some budget close to the market. It does, as I am sure you know, take careful planning to ensure your brand profile remains consistant and that your customers expectations are met to your current standards. Managing the continuous photography and loading is going to be huge step change for your business and your allocation of time to the running of the business. It is really a question of assessing where the benefits lie in the two scenario’s and then deciding where your day to day time is best used. There maybe other solutions depending on the type of site you have and the brands you are buying. Your suppliers may have photography available which works for your siteM This maybe helpful if you wanted to create a“Gallery” of brands or products shown differently from your ususal stock and could highlight your new plans to your customers.
