The rise of the Dandy is my personal favourite trend of the past decade. The emphasis on quality and attention to detail has had a very positive influence on the industry - it’s great to see brogues and jackets as wardrobe staples and guys on the whole being more style conscious and discerning. It’s also paved the way for new quality-led trends to emerge such as workwear which is really taking off at the moment.

The best selling trend has probably been the deconstructed denim jacket or outshirt; brands like G-Star have heavily influenced the industry and managed to sustain the average bloke in the streets insatiable demand for this look for most of the decade.  The dandy trend is mostly to do with designers like Paul Smith becoming more mainstream as their ranges have expanded. The most surprising trend to come out over the past ten years has been the ‘comfort shoes’ market – Ugg’s, Croc’s and MBT’s have all been big hits. My eight year old Diesel Style Lab workwear boots are my most treasured item from the past decade.
