Wait & See
Already a WGSN favourite, Wait & See is a 70 sq m concept store, housed in an 18th-century cloister on Via Santa Marta in the Navigli district. It stocks exclusive merchandise sourced from across the world. The brainchild of fashion co-ordinator/art director/design consultant Uberta Zambeletti, the space carries a selection of items produced strictly by independent labels and artisans.
In a bid to promote individuality and originality accessible to everyone, prices range from €1 (86p) to €1,000 (£858). Mainly stocking women’s clothing and accessories, the space also offers a well-edited selection of pieces for kids, men and the home. Raven jeans, Fabergè & Roches trousers, Strategia footwear and hand-made accessories from Peru and Mexico sit alongside the Wait & See in-house collection.
Since opening at the end of October 2010 on Via Gian Giacomo Mora, Manly has quickly become a popular spot for the trendy Navigli shoppers. Curated by interior designers Tribeca Factory, this small space features wall-mounted aluminium containers acting as shelves, heavy-duty wheeled metal clothes rails, and a pale green reclaimed table with open drawers in the centre of the room.
On display you’ll find men’s and women’s clothing and accessories by brands such as Sessùn, Camo, Eleven Paris, Nümph and Insight.
This new space, tucked away on Via Arena in the Navigli district, is the first concept store by Italian label February. Founded in 2002 by designers Lucio Vanotti and Marika Masi, this cutting-edge brand is distinguished for its contemporary aesthetic and clean lines for both women and men.
The boutique is also a design studio and art space, collaborating with young artists, so the decor is kept minimal to accommodate different kinds of installations and special events.
