Minimal Masculine

Many designers played around with androgynous looks, and while a sense of masculinity can be worked into several key looks, we feel strongly about this new style of minimal masculinity.

It is about infusing accessories with a masculine restraint - a simple leather belt, a flat loafer or a Gladstone bag. Keep colours muted, with minimal hardware and detailing. This look was summed up by Véronique Leroy, whose plain wire-framed opticals and side-parted hair added just the right amount of masculinity to her offer. Key items include flat loafers, Gladstone bags, minimal satchels (see 3.1 Phillip Lim) and narrow leather belts (see Donna Karan).
