Skatewear brand Vans threw a bash to mark the opening of its new store in the heart of London’s Camden, where it also showed off its latest footwear, clothing and accessories collections.

To celebrate bumper first-quarter sales for accessories and footwear – up 9% year on year – designer outlet retailer McArthurGlen unveiled a giant 2m-high sweetie shoe made from Bassett’s liquorice allsorts.

The shoe Created using 22,000 allsorts, with the heel made from 1,700 pieces of black liquorice.

The facts Handbag and jewellery sales rose 8% and footwear sales climbed 10%.
