It’s a cake walk at selfridges

Selfridges celebrated the first anniversary of its Denim Studio at its Oxford Street store last week, as well as the launch of an exclusive eight-piece capsule denim range from designer Ashley Williams. The fashion set, including model Leah Weller (right, with Williams) browsed the product, but for us the real star was the birthday cake.

City gents team up with TM Lewin

TM Lewin has scored a deal to suit and boot the Manchester City football team for this season. The goalpost-moving deal will see (pictured) Gael Clichy, Sergio Aguero, Jesus Navas, Fernando et al decked out in the retailer’s formalwear for all official photo duties.

Surfdome team’s premiere league partying

It was a skate and surf family celebration when etailer Surfdome threw a party to premiere a documentary from boardsports label Volcom. Entitled Veeco, the production offers a journey through the Volcom film library, featuring, in the brand’s own words, ‘blood, sweat and debacle’. The party was held at Drapers’ local eatery Nincomsoup in Old Street station, and no actual blood or sweat was spilled on the night, as we hope this picture of the Surfdome team proves.

Great danes pop up
Husband and wife Nicolaj and Ditte Reffstrup, managing director and creative director respectively of Danish womenswear brand Ganni, celebrated the opening of their pop-up store on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch. Swedish meatballs were served from a fake-grass covered van outside. “It looks like something out of Dumb and Dumber,” quipped Nicolaj.

Topman says YO to Oxford Street guests

Music and fashion aficionados were out for the launch of streetwear brand Your Own (YO) at Topman Oxford Street. The label set up by Gio-Goi founders Christopher and Anthony Donnelly (pictured with Pretty Green’s Dean West, centre), marked the deal for 10 Topman concessions with beer, celebrities and an MTV crew.
