Drapers gets the lowdown on the latest gossip and reports back from the hottest parties and events.

Up for the Cup We know Pretty Green founder Liam Gallagher (pictured with adoring fans) can say “jump” and most blokes will ask “how high”, but he pulled off a feat of gigantic proportions last week when he managed to get the FA Cup (yes, the actual FA Cup) just days after it was won by Man City to attend the very cool opening party of his Covent Garden store. Pretty Green directors Nigel Grant (left) and Dean West flanked Drapers’ Jessica Brown, who also teamed up with freelance journalist Martin Teall to get a taste of FA Cup glory.

Luke’s bit of Bully Luke celebrated the opening of its store in Birmingham’s Bullring in style. Guests including footballer Mark Albrighton and Luke’s Luke Roper, Andy Hopkins from indie brand The Enemy and Luke’s Deborah Poole and guest, and Luke’s Leon Jeffs and Nick Madlani enjoyed ice-cold shots from two Luke ice luges at the Chameleon Club after party.

Action Replay The glamourati joined denim brand Replay for a party at Cannes Film Festival last month, with fashionistas and celebrities aplenty including designer Peter Dundas, model Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and pop star Janet Jackson. Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay (pictured with Replay chief executive Matteo Sinigaglia) serenaded the stars at the bash.

All fired up The footwear industry came over all Made In Chelsea thanks to Hunter Boot’s welly-testing day out last week. Among the tweed-clad Hunter-booted shooting party were blogger Bip Ling and accessories designer Katie Hillier, as well as Kevin Wisby from Russell & Bromley and Amazon’s Ian Blackman. Drapers’ Jessica Brown and Exposure PR’s Lisa Cresser led the A Team, which scored a respectable 97 points in the shoot-off.

Which footwear buyer was awarded a plastic duck as a consolation prize after his team came last in the Hunter Boot shooting day last week?
