Drapers gets the lowdown on the latest gossip and reports back from the hottest parties and events.

Switched on Independent fashion showcase On/Off kicked off LFW with an intimate event at London’s Rook & Raven Gallery. The night drew in a host of names including Zandra Rhodes with Harper’s Bazaar’s Sarah Bailey, Whistles chief executive Jane Shepherdson with model Tuuli Shipster and singer Alexandra Burke.

Making a splash Paolita’s Anna Paola and Joseph Bachman helped the swimwear label unveil its first resort collection at London Fashion Week (LFW), featuring retro paintbox brights, muted feminine shades and monochrome gingham check.

Small talk Menswear designer James Small had a star-studded after party thrown by Vauxhall Motors at the Corinthia hotel. Guests included Kate Moss with Jamie Hince, Caroline Flack, Jaime Winstone, Jo Wood (centre, with Grace Woodward) and Zara Martin. Nick Grimshaw took to the decks.

Model behaviour Reiss and Premier Model Management co-hosted a LFW wrap party at Reiss’s Barrett Street store. Guests including (left to right) Reiss’s Simon Daley and Andy Rogers viewed the spring 12 collections while sipping cocktails.

Top that Topshop celebrated 10 years of Newgen and 10 years of supporting British fashion at Le Baron, Old Burlington Street, on the last day of the LFW women’s shows. Drapers joined past Newgen designers Christopher Kane and Erdem, and partied to US rapper Azealia Banks.
