Beers and beards took over Eleven Paris’s Carnaby Street store last week as it launched its spring 14 range. The trendy crowd later moved around the corner to retro club Disco to continue the party late into the night. A Rivetti-ng night out with Stone Island

At Stone Island’s ‘Colour’ event last week, Drapers’ Graeme Moran and Emily Norval caught up with creative director Carlo Rivetti, who was on great form as he showed off the spring 14 range. It certainly lived up to the event’s name, with a rainbow of brights animating the Brewer Street store in Soho, where the party took place.

Vogue’s power couple

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian

The Facebook page of US Vogue and other social media are awash with negative comments about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian appearing on April’s cover. “A thug and a porn star” is one choice description of the pair. Angry readers have even started a campaign to depose editor Anna Wintour. Yikes! Is all publicity really good publicity?

In a league of his own

Paul Radville

Paul Radville

Puma is looking at various initiatives to remember and celebrate the life of Paul Radville, former Puma Lifestyle fashion account manager and one of Drapers’ 30 Under 30 rising fashion stars in 2013, who died in January. Puma is looking to name a room in its new London HQ after Paul and the team will also undertake fundraising schemes through the year dedicated to The Brain Tumour Charity, a cause close to Paul’s heart. A fitting tribute for a great talent.

Gaultier’s guest appearance at London College of Fashion

Jean Paul Gaultier: Be My Guest

Jean Paul Gaultier: Be My Guest

The Fashion Space Gallery at London College of Fashion will host a new exhibition, Jean Paul Gaultier: Be My Guest, which runs from April 11 to May 31. The exhibition, which is open to the public and free to visit, will celebrate the designer’s graphic design work, including iconic advertising campaigns and exclusive show invites, all created by Gaultier himself.

It will run in tandem with the larger Gaultier exhibition at the Barbican Art Gallery, although the Barbican event runs from April 9 to August 25.
