A who’s who of textiles descended on UK Ambassador to France Sir Peter Rickett’s Paris residence to celebrate British fabrics. Coinciding with the first day of Première Vision, the night was topped off by UK fabric supporter Prince Charles delivering a rousing speech via video link. Paris in London
French brand Eleven Paris hosted a party in its Carnaby Street store to show off its autumn 13 range. Rapper Lady Cartel gave a performance with the help of DJ Hello Mozart. Pictured left are Eleven Paris’s Laura Gruarin and store manager Ray Noir.
Online retailers and suppliers gathered at The Jugged Hare pub in the City of London to enjoy a drink, devour some mini fish and chips and talk digital. The gang was brought together by ecommerce consultant Leon Bailey-Green (far left), who included River Island’s Helen Colclough and Lyle & Scott’s Will Dymott on his exclusive guest list.
A works do
Menswear brand Universal Works celebrated the opening of its store on Berwick Street, Soho, and its autumn 13 tie-up with knitwear label John Smedley. Eccles cakes and pork pies kept hungry guests happy.
Tourne de party
Menswear brand Tourne de Transmission threw a bash with etailer Concept by Cruise and online magazine Selectism to launch its autumn 13 collection. Entertainment included a film screening and a fashion installation. In attendance were Concept by Cruise buyer Dean Walker, Savile Row Brands manager Jake Bancroft, Concrete Studio sales agent Michael Brown and Denham sales agent Jordan Schneider.
Volcom’s Community Spirit
Volcomunity, the premium sub-brand of skate label Volcom, celebrated its autumn 13 range hitting stores with a bash at Shoreditch hot spot the Queen of Hoxton. Guests from skate and streetwear tucked into burgers, chicken fillets and plenty of beer, while live music was provided by Volcomunity brand ambassadors Mike Ghost and Zoëtrøpe (pictured).
