Riva Shoes in administration

Norfolk-based footwear brand Riva Shoes has collapsed into administration.

The business which supplies independent retailers with women’s footwear has appointed administrators McTear Williams & Wood.

Riva Shoes has a £1m order book, but the company has been unable to secure funding to purchase the current season’s footwear range.

The administrators are looking for buyers to purchase the orders.

Riva Shoes has been trading since 1997 and 13 jobs are at risk as a result of the administration.

McTear Williams & Wood spokesman Chris McKay said: “It is a shame that a business with such a solid reputation within the shoe industry has been brought to this point, but judging by the interest received so far we are hopeful that we will be able to attract a buyer for the Riva brand”.
