Roger Wade

Director, Brands Incorporated, founder Boxfresh

My favourite trend of the decade has got to be the trainer. The phenomenon started in the 80s and picked up pace in the 90s and has continued to grow through to today.

It created the whole streetwear industry, and suddenly it was all about dressing from the trainers up. Boxfresh blossomed with the growth of the trainer and suddenly fashion was all about what the kids were wearing on the streets – trainers, T-shirts, hoodies and baggy jeans became the kids’ uniform. My most cherished piece ofclothing from the last ten years is probably my Boxfresh Barbour waxed jacket. It was the first Barbour collaboration in the brand’s 100 year history.
