The 1930s

It was all about the 1940s on the New York runways, but in London designers signalled the 1930s as the era to reference.

A timely trend perhaps, given the hype of cult TV shows such as Boardwalk Empire and the upcoming Madonna-directed movie about Wallis Simpson and the Duke of Windsor. Watch out for a raft of art deco diva looks hitting Christmas party deliveries, with elongated silhouettes and art deco-inspired print and pattern, such as those by Holly Fulton and Topshop Unique.
