Timberland Boot Co targets women

Timberland Boot Company has launched its first women’s footwear range for autumn 09.

The brand’s women’s line is made up of three stories each inspired by US workwear styles from the 1940s, with each style bearing a woman’s name.

“Timberland Boot Company is an expert bootmaker and the men’s collection is so successful that we saw a great opportunity to offer women’s footwear too,” said Kate MacLean, women’s European product manager. “We’ve developed a tight collection based on Timberland Boot Company’s workwear heritage, but it is contemporary too so is relevant to women today.”

Rosie, available in tan and black, is a heavyweight leather lace-up boot available in two heights, with missing eyelet details and different textured buckles.
Marge offers a more feminine take on the vintage American theme consisting of lace-up and peep-toe high heels in tan and dark brown leather, with hand-stitched bows for added detail.

Gavie, a more masculine collection, features loafers and brogues in washed canvas and is available in panelled black and tan leather.
