Contemporary womenswear label Bastyan is launching its first collaboration collection which will be available from March.
This is the first time the label, which is backed by Coast, Warehouse and Oasis owner Aurora Fashions and designed by Tonia Bastyan, one half of 1990s British womenswear design duo Press & Bastyan, has worked with other designers to create a collaborative sub-brand.
Known as Bastyan Collaborare, the first collection is due to hit stores including John Lewis, House of Fraser and Brown Thomas in Ireland and online at Bastyan.co.uk, has been designed in conjunction with textile designer Vanessa Harrington and master of drapery Yong Fong.
The collection comprises of five pieces, two scarves and a clutch bag each with its own individual design and print. Retail prices range from £195 to £450.
Going forward, each season Tonia Bastyan will work with different British artisans and designers to create a range for Bastyan Collaborare.
Last year Bastyan opened its first pop-up store on London’s Regent Street. The details of the financial arrangement between Aurora and Bastyan remain unclear.
