British menswear designer Jeff Banks is to launch a range of premium benchmade footwear at department store group Debenhams.
This is the first range of premium footwear from Banks, who already designs a range of menswear and footwear for the department store under the Designers at Debenhams banner.
According to Brian Hartley, senior buyer for men’s footwear at Debenhams, the footwear is being launched to compliment the new Jeff Banks suiting range.
“A benchmade shoe involves over two hundred careful processes to make just one pair,” said Hartley.
“The last shape over which the shoe is pulled has been developed by Jeff Banks to provide maximum comfort yet retaining a unique style. The leathers for each style have also been carefully selected. The uppers are from fine Andalucian calf while the soles are from heavier durable leather.”
The range of five styles, which includes shoes and Chelsea boots, will be available in stores from the end of March. Prices start at £125 for shoes and go up to £130 for a pair of Chelsea Boots.
