Inaugural tradeshow Vision reveals visitor numbers

Contemporary womenswear, menswear and footwear tradeshow Vision, the inaugural show to combine Copenhagen-based tradeshows CPH Vision and Terminal, closed with 17,838 visitors.

The first edition of the newly-combined shows, took place from August 9 – 11 and featured 347 brands in six areas across a mix of menswear, womenswear, accessories and footwear.

Visitors to the show were predominantly from the Nordic regions, with those from Norway, Denmark and Sweden up by 28% compared to Nordic visitors to the two shows CPH Vision and Terminal-2 in August last year.

“We believe the large increase in Nordic buyers is a result of the merger and new marketing strategy at Vision,” said Vision chief executive Peter Fenger Selchau.

“Buyers and press from selected countries in the Nordic region and Northern Europe were this season invited personally by post several times in the months of April, May and June.”

The show also saw an increase in international buyers, up 21% compared to buyers attending the two shows last year, with exhibitors reporting they saw buyers from Japan, China and Russia.
